Elderflower Gin Fizz Cocktail Recipe

Elderflower is a floral and refreshing flavour that goes hand in hand with a quality flavoured gin to make for a smooth and bittersweet drink. This fizz cocktail is especially delightful to try in spring and summer when you can even harvest your elderflower sprigs yourself due to it being a common flower in the UK.
Wessex Distillery has created a gooseberry and elderflower gin fizz cocktail that’s easy to make and has minimal ingredients, yet will still impress and go down a treat at cocktail parties or simply on a Friday night in.
Ingredients
- 50ml Gooseberry & Elderflower Gin
- 12.5ml Triple sec (Cointreau)
- 25ml Lemon juice
- 15ml Sugar syrup (mix 300g of sugar or honey with 150ml water over low heat and leave to cool)
- Soda to taste
- Ice
You will also need:
- Cocktail shaker
- Strainer
Method
Step 1
Add all your ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Step 2
Shake hard and fine strain the concoction into a chilled cocktail glass of your choice.
Step 3
Garnish your drink with cut sprigs of elderflower or if you don’t have any to hand, a lemon slice.
