We’ve won the IWSC’s UK Gin Producer of the Year Award 2022!

We couldn’t be prouder of the Wessex Distillery team for earning this award, and want to say a big thank you to the International Wine & Spirits Competition for recognising us and our gin again.

Last night we attended the 2022 Awards Dinner & Industry Celebration and took home the UK Gin Producer of the Year Award!

Our Past IWSC Wins

We’ve previously won multiple gin related awards from the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), and have taken part for the past 5 years. Most recently we’ve taken home the gold outstanding award for our Wyvern’s Classic London Dry Gin in 2020, double gold for our Alfred the Great Gin in 2021, and gold for our Saxon Garden Floral Gin in 2021. In 2022, we also won gold again for our English Sloe Gin and Old Tom Gin for The Dorchester Hotel.

About the IWSC

The IWSC has been operating for over 50 years, since 1969 to recognise quality gin from around the globe. World-renowned gin experts will judge for each award, and take into account a range of factors. It’s truly an honour to be awarded!

For the first time ever, contestants for this award were asked to submit a survey form to provide more context into the advancements made in their craft operations. Innovation and sustainability are areas we’re very passionately striving to better ourselves in at Wessex Distillery, as you can read about some of our changes and plans here in our brand mission statement.
